Counterfeit SanDisk Cards on eBay

I purchased an Extreme III Compact Flash card from seller bazaarus@gmail.com on eBay. It arrived, and was an obvious fake. A call to SanDisk verified this.  I left negative feedback and filed a complaint.  I also called the seller. “I’ll give you a refund if you withdraw the feedback.”  That’s feedback extortion, and against eBay policy.

When I called him, he blew me off. He's a total scam artist! He knows he is selling fakes - that's illegal.

Were you sold a fake card? Not sure?

You can check for yourself (several photos):

The mail give-away is the lack of serial number on the card. You can also call SanDisk and talk to them - they will also verify if it is counterfeit.

You need to file a complaint with eBay and PayPal (if you paid via PayPal.)  The counterfeit cards are 1/4 the speed of the genuine cards, do not hold 8 gig, and are poor quality.

There is a link on the item's page (bottom) to report the item.

Please followup and report the counterfeit.
